Destiny is a straight line cutting through a circle of infinite Possibility. Fate is the true path you take within the circle. If you’re lucky, your destiny and fate will align.

The lore of the infinisphere comes from an understanding of circles. Circles have infinite lines of symmetry. Fold it perfectly in half, and it perfectly overlaps, no matter which direction you do it. If a circle represents an area where infinite straight paths can be taken, then it represents all possibility.

Within that circle, to get to the exact opposite side of the circle from your starting point, the shortest path is a straight line, right through the centre. If where you start on the circle represents the beginning of your life, and where you finish on the circle represents the end of your life, then the life you lead with the least amount of trouble to reach the end is the straight line through the centre. Hence, the straight line of Fate represents the best possible life one could live.

Destiny, however, is the path you actually take to reach the other side. it may be straight, but not follow the line of Fate. That is, you might not reach the exact opposite side that represents the completion of you life’s story. You may stop at a different end of the circle.

The path you take might waver. It may go up and down like oscillations. it may zigzag. It may go back and forth. Within the circle of Possibility, the life you lead has endless outcomes. That is the relationship between Fate, Destiny, and Possibility.

The infinisphere is a sphere comprised of every circle of possibility of every person with a story to live. It is multiple infinities overlapping, with everyone’s path intersecting with another’s at various points within the sphere.

The infinisphere is the infinity of infinities.
